Young drivers aged 8 to 14 compete in a nationwide 'arrive & drive' electric kart racing series with regional events leading to a national SUPERFINAL.
THE DRIVER APP
The NexGen Driver App will be used by all competitors in the Series to register, find local events and to learn more about STEM.
The App will contain four STEM learning modules that drivers can explore at their own pace.
At each race event drivers will undertake a twelve question multiple-choice evaluation test based on the learning module found in the App.
Answering questions correctly in the Driver Evaluation Test means more ACTIVE BOOSTS available to use during qualifying and racing.
Drivers operate their ACTIVE BOOSTS by pressing a button on their steering wheel.
The short boosts of extra electrical power can help set faster laps times or overtake an opponent on track.
But a driver must use their allocated ACTIVE BOOSTS wisely during each track session to maximise their chances of success.
After the regional events the highest scoring drivers nationwide are invited to race at the SUPERFINALS.
There are two age categories Challenger (8 to 11) and Graduate (12 to 14).
The use of ACTIVE BOOSTS gained will be critical to each driver's strategy.
The winners in each category are awarded a national NexGen Series Driver's title.
